A substantial pure cotton corduroy in a soft ivory-beige tone, with pronounced vertical ribs and a dense, warm hand. This is much heavier than standard apparel corduroy and has a distinctly winter-weight feel.
At around 320 gsm, the fabric is thick, insulating, and structured. It has a soft corduroy surface, but the overall weight gives it significant body and very little fluid drape. This is not a transitional-season fabric—I would consider it best for cold late autumn and winter garments.
Because of the weight, it is especially suitable for pieces where warmth and structure are important: trousers, winter skirts, pinafores, overshirts, jackets, vests, and other sturdy cold-weather garments. The neutral ivory shade also makes it easy to pair with prints, knits, and darker winter colors.
Suggested Projects
Great for warm trousers, A-line or straight skirts, pinafores, structured dresses, overshirts, chore jackets, vests, and other winter garments.
