A rich deep-purple cotton corduroy with a classic fine-ribbed surface and a substantial autumn/winter weight. The color is saturated but still easy to wear, somewhere between plum and muted violet, and the soft corduroy texture gives it a warm, slightly vintage feel.
At around 280 gsm, this is a genuinely heavier corduroy rather than a lightweight transitional fabric. It has good body and structure, with enough weight to hold clean garment shapes beautifully. I would not consider this an early-autumn fabric—it is much better suited to late autumn and winter, especially for garments where warmth and structure are both important.
The fabric has the characteristic soft surface of cotton corduroy, but because of its weight it feels substantial rather than drapey. It would work especially well for trousers, skirts, pinafores, structured dresses, overshirts, cropped jackets, or other cold-weather pieces.
Suggested Projects
Great for trousers, A-line skirts, pinafores, structured dresses, overshirts, jackets, vests, and other late-autumn or winter garments.
