A distinctive Japanese 100% wool double-faced fabric featuring a patchwork-inspired arrangement of yarn-dyed plaids, checks, and stripes in warm camel, cream, muted blue, olive, burgundy, and soft purple tones.
Rather than being printed, the entire design is woven from colored yarns, creating rich texture and depth throughout the fabric. Different plaid and stripe patterns are arranged in large geometric sections, giving it the appearance of a carefully pieced patchwork textile.
This is a double-faced weave, with the woven design visible on both sides of the fabric, making it especially interesting for garments where the reverse may be seen.
At around 230 gsm, the wool has enough substance and structure for autumn and winter garments while remaining more flexible than a heavy coating fabric.
Suggested Projects
