A playful high-density cotton poplin printed with rows of little Scottie-style dogs in warm tan and taupe, each finished with a bright red bow against a clean ivory ground. The oversized repeat gives it a fun retro feel, while the limited color palette keeps it surprisingly easy to use for garments.
At around 180 gsm, this is a noticeably substantial cotton poplin with a firm, crisp hand and strong structure. It holds its shape much more than a lightweight shirting poplin, making it especially suitable for garments where you want volume, clean lines, or a slightly sculptural silhouette.
The dense weave also gives the surface a smooth, neat finish. Because the dog motifs are fairly large, I would keep the garment shape relatively simple and let the print be the main feature.
Suggested Projects
Great for A-line skirts, structured tops, cropped jackets, shorts, pinafores, simple dresses, children’s garments, bags, and other playful structured pieces.
